Nuclear engineer turned portfolio manager

Knut Gezelius has been lead portfolio manager of the equity fund SKAGEN Global since 2014. The fund follows SKAGEN’s value-based investment philosophy and the portfolio is characterised by undervalued companies with the potential for revaluation. Knut’s views on traditional valuation methods and the increased importance of intangible assets have recently caught the attention of media. Based on his views, Knut has invested in holdings which go against the tide and have generated good results for SKAGEN Global.

Knut has a Masters in Nuclear Engineering from MIT and an MBA from INSEAD. He has previously worked as Senior Lead Analyst at Entergy Corporation in Houston and as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in London.
